Life on Venus

Picture
Life on Venus could never be possible. The surface of Venus is way too hot to support life, so hot in fact that it can melt lead. The atmospheric pressure on Venus is also about 90 times that of Earths. Therefore if a human were to set foot on Venus they would melt and crumble immediately. However, there are theories to possible life on Venus without using a confined shelter.
One theory called "terraforming" suggests that releasing a bacteria into the air of Venus may decrease the amount of carbon dioxide and sulpheric acid. This bacteria would then turn those gases into oxygen and other gases needed to produce life. The downside to this would be that decreasing the carbon dioxide would result in the loss of the greenhouse effect. The loss of the greenhouse effect would ruin Venus's ability to control its very high temperatures.

Life on Mars

Picture
Although it will be very difficult, Mars might just be the only planet in our solar system that we would have a chance to colonize. Because Mars is so far away from the sun it's climate is very cold (-60 degrees Celsius). So there is no chance you could survive without a well equipped shelter. Mars is also full of carbon dioxide so you would not be able to breath. Even though Mars has some pretty bad conditions there are ways that colonizing might work.
The first way would be to bring oxygen along from Earth or to produce it on Mars. Bringing plants along could aid in humans getting oxygen since plants help separate the oxygen connected to carbon. These plants would have to be kept in a secure place because Mars atmosphere is so thin the oxygen would just escape. The second way to colonize on Mars would be to produce some sort of radiation protection, since its atmosphere offers little to no protection. Houses would have to be built in order to block out these harmful rays. The third way would be to have everyone build a safe house underneath there house. Mars has very harsh storms and fierce winds also meteorites do not burn up when they enter the atmosphere. Therefore, these safe houses would need to be built to withstand meteorites.
